Law of One Contemplative Retreat

An L/L Research Event

August 13–16, 2026 

L/L Research is happy to announce the 2026 Law of One Contemplation Retreat in Crestone, Colorado! This particular event is a new iteration of our Coming Home series with a specific focus on practices of meditation, reflection, and contemplation.

COST
The total cost for this event is all-inclusive. It includes:

• Lodging for 4 days/4 nights
• 11 nutrition-packed super delicious meals: dinner Thursday; breakfast, lunch, and dinner Friday–Sunday; and breakfast Monday morning.
• Event space and tuition
  

Cost structure:

• Tuition ($121): This is the only portion of your payment that provides revenue to L/L Research and helps sustain our work, though this does not fully fund the staff time that goes into creating and hosting the event.
• Production ($166): These are L/L’s direct material expenses required to host the event—travel, supplies, and related costs.
• Blazing Mountain ($463): This is exactly what the venue charges us for room, food, and facility us

Scholarships: If you would love to attend but would be prohibited by financial limitation, we have scholarships available. Please contact us to ask.

And if you are interested in contributing toward scholarships (very helpful that), we have a scholarship fund for helping others.

NOTE: Last year, the parent organization of Blazing Mountain was able to offer a one-third subsidy of the event’s cost thanks to a grant from an anonymous donor. That grant was recently extended to us this year, after we had already launched this event. Hence, you may see a price change if you viewed this listing prior to April 22nd.

CANCELLATIONS
If you should need to cancel, no worries! We can issue a full refund up to Monday, July 13. Any cancellations after that date are eligible for a 50% refund if the seat can be filled, which is usually the case. If the seat is not filled, then the cancellation is ineligible for a refund. Any unrefunded amount will go to support the event.

LODGING
Blazing Mountain will be able to accommodate all registrants. If you would like to share a room with another attendee, please let us know via email.

Room check-in will occur between 3:00pm and 5:00pm on Thursday, August 13.

[NOTE: We cannot accommodate specific room number requests. Also, please direct all lodging-related requests not to Blazing Mountain Retreat Center or UCCR but to us.]

TRAVEL
Blazing Mountain Retreat Center is located at:

The nearest airport is San Luis Valley Regional Airport (KALS) in Alamosa, Colorado about an hour drive to the venue.

Due to the remoteness of this airport and venue, we will be offering shuttles via private vehicle.

TO THE EVENT: 
Please arrive at the San Luis Valley Regional Airport on the 1:30pm flight (KG 3583) for Thursday, August 13. *We cannot provide transfers at any other time.*

FROM THE EVENT: 
We will shuttle people to the San Luis Valley Regional Airport on Monday, August 17. We will depart the venue at 5:45am for a 6:45am arrival. There are two outbound flights each day, one at 8:00am and the other at 2:00pm.

If you need transportation assistance from/to the airport, please select "Yes" on the shuttle add-on from this page.

If this does not work, there is a rental car service available at the airport.

Additionally, if you will have a car and can assist in shuttling attendees between locations, please select “Yes” on the volunteer shuttle add-on from this page.

NOTE: The venue sits at 8,000 feet in elevation.
